Meeting the Needs of All Students

Non-competitive. Supportive. Fully Inclusive

I must admit that when we signed up our son for the program, we were unconcerned about getting our son to run, or even making it to 25 much less 100 miles. Our desire was simply to give him an opportunity to interact with “typical” peers.

Our beautiful boy was diagnosed with autism, and we are always searching for opportunities to expose him to new things. We miss out on a lot of those opportunities due to his therapies and behaviors. He has really amazed us since starting the 100 Mile Club! He laughs when he runs, and we found out he can actually run pretty darn fast!”

The 100 Mile Club is about inclusion.

Unfortunately, children and youth with special needs are often overlooked or systematically excluded when school physical activities are planned and implemented.

Every student deserves the opportunity to be successful. Whether they run, roll, or walk towards their goal, the 100 Mile Club inspires students of all abilities – to be active in an accepting, positive and fully inclusive environment.

Help us give ALL students the opportunity to get active and stay healthy!
