Purpose of 100 Mile Club® Event Calendar

The 100 Mile Club® Event Calendar is a feature of the 100 Mile Club®’s website established for the purpose of allowing the 100 Mile Club® and members of the greater community to publicly post information regarding events of general interest or benefit to the 100 Mile Club® community. Proposing events for posting on the 100 Mile Club® Event Calendar constitutes participation in a limited public forum.

Scope of Oversight

Though the 100 Mile Club® Event Calendar is moderated to ensure that events posted comport with this policy and applicable laws, the 100 Mile Club® neither endorses nor verifies the accuracy of the information posted. If an entry includes a link to an external website, the 100 Mile Club® does not control or review the content or operation of that website, and does not guarantee the authenticity, accuracy, appropriateness, or security of the link, website or any related content.

Procedure and Standards for Event Posting

Persons wishing to propose that an event be posted on the 100 Mile Club® Event Calendar shall provide the event title, date(s), time(s), and location, as well as FULL name, e-mail address, and phone number. Anonymous or incomplete proposals shall not be posted. All events proposed for posting on the 100 Mile Club® Event Calendar shall be submitted to the Event Calendar Moderator, who shall review all event submissions for conformance to the standards set forth in this policy. Items submitted for posting on the 100 Mile Club® Event Calendar shall be reviewed during business hours, on an ad hoc basis, as the Event Calendar Moderator’s schedule permits.

Please Note: Events and Meet Ups must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event date to be approved and appear on our calendar. The 100 Mile Club reserves the right to approve or deny event submissions to this calendar for any reason. Their decision is final.

Additionally, events submitted to the 100 Mile Club® Event Calendar known to contain any form of the following shall not be posted or shall be removed:

-Profane language or content;

-Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation;

-Sexual content or links to sexual content;

-Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;

-Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems; or

-Content that violates a legal interest of any other party.

The 100 Mile Club® reserves the right to restrict or remove any content or event for any reason or that is deemed in violation of this policy or any applicable law.

Disclaimer

The use of and/or reliance on the 100 Mile Club® Event Calendar presents risks, some of which are unknown. Persons assume any and all risks associated such activity, and shall hold harmless the 100 Mile Club® and its employees, elected officials, and agents from any claim related to such use. Persons requesting posting on, using, or attending events posted on the 100 Mile Club® Event Calendar shall hold harmless the 100 Mile Club® and its employees, elected officials, and agents from any claim that the content of the post contains defamatory content, violates another’s privacy, and/or violates any applicable law.
