Scottsdale, Arizona / San Isidro, CHIH / Norco CA –
Mas Korima, in a special collaboration with The 100 Mile Club, is excited to announce the introduction of ‘Inspiration Bites’, a heritage Pinole based athlete nutritional product. Proceeds from the sale of Inspiration Bites will support the young runners of the Copper Canyons of Mexico and the Ultra Caballo Blanco Caballitos events.
For generations before Chris McDougall wrote his bestselling novel Born to Run and introduced the world to the extraordinary endurance running abilities of our Tarahumara (Raramuri) friends, Pinole has been their nutritional energy of choice. For athletes, young and old seeking a healthier nutrition option than all the chemically processed sugar based bars and snack foods to help energize their miles, ‘Inspiration Bites’ offer a truly all-natural, no preservative, real food solution.
“I just can’t emphasize enough how thrilled we are to have partnered with the 100 Mile Club on this project. We love everything about them and all they do.” says Mas Korima team member Michael Miller.
“For 25 years now, the 100 Mile Club has engaged and empowered young kids and their parents through physical activity. Through a program that encourages young athletes to run, jog, or hike 100 miles during the school year, they teach life lessons, goal setting, determination and commitment to kids throughout the nation for generations now. The 100 Mile Club also helps educate young runners on making overall healthy lifestyle and nutritional choices. Providing a healthy, real food, nutritional option for performance athletes is our passion and what we do, so the partnership really gives us a perfect opportunity to help support all the good the Club does.” Michael also shared “coming up with the ‘Inspiration Bites’ name was easy for us – because when we think of the 100 Mile Club, ‘Inspiration’ definitely jumps out.”
“The partnership between Mas Korima and 100 Mile Club® will not only help encourage and maintain the centuries-old tradition of running in the Copper Canyons, but it will also inspire our young runners here in the US to further practice the essential life skills we teach in 100 Mile Club® and adopt the beautiful Raramuri spirit of Korima”, states 100 Mile Club Founder Kara Lubin.
“In addition, this incredible partnership brings the 100 Mile Club spirit to the young runners of the Copper Canyons. We are truly learning from, and inspiring, one another and we couldn’t be more honored to be working side-by-side with the team at Mas Korima.”
Inspiration Bites use pinole, chia and amaranth to provide 100 calories, 15 carbohydrates and four grams of fat per four-piece serving. They come in a resealable 20-serving bag ($14.50, maskorima.com). The new release is a special collaboration with the 100 Mile Club, an organization working to help school age children in the U.S. and their families become more active by encouraging children to commit to “run, jog, or walk 100 miles over the course of the school year.”
Proceeds from the sale of Inspiration Bites will support the young runners of the Copper Canyons of Mexico and the Ultra Caballo Blanco Caballitos events.

About the 100 Mile Club®
Taking a unique approach to reverse the physical inactivity epidemic among school age children, the 100 Mile Club helps prevent and reduce inactivity and obesity in children by making fitness opportunities available in schools, empowering kids to achieve a healthy lifestyle they can maintain. The program presents students with a straightforward challenge: run, jog, or walk 100 miles over the course of the school year and learn and practice essential life skills. Students log miles during designated running times with milestone incentives reinforcing and motivating them along the way. www.100mileclub.com. Social media @100mileclub
