A Community of Spirit:

Mandy Perry Shows How Anyone Can Run Like a Kid

Something we believe in at 100 Mile Club is that anyone can Run Like a Kid, regardless of age and ability. Staying active can be as simple and carefree as it is for a kid, and that’s where we shine brightest! With 100 Mile Club: Friends & Family, families and individuals who can’t register through schools can accept our 100 mile challenge and join a nationwide community connecting with our MILEstone incentives, building teamwork, and crushing goals together near and far. The beauty of this program is the ability to be a part of our community from anywhere in the country, and even start your own 100 Mile Club village!

Our very own Mandy Perry has created a group of adult 100 milers in Athens, Georgia, built around the spirit of keeping running fun and exciting. Earlier in the year, her group set a goal of running 100 miles in March alone, with each outing having new objectives to aim for. One of these additions was a custom Run Like a Kid bingo card that included missions such as reaching the 50 mile sticker, running with a friend, and even playing tag and running in the rain. Mandy’s group took our incentives and crushed their goals, making running FUN in their community.

“The beauty of 100 Mile Club is that it allows ANYONE to Run Like a Kid,” Mandy says, “This crew ran and walked their way to 100 miles in the month of March while embracing the joys of running like a kid by finding the puddles, getting a little messy, shamROCKING a St. Patrick’s Day run, and more while grabbing those MILEstone sticker selfies and joining in on the #WearItWednesday fun.”

100 Mile Club: Friends & Family is our outline for fun on the run, and it allows individuals and communities to define what it means to Run Like a Kid. From themed holiday runs like Mandy’s group, to simply running to feel free and happy, anyone can Run Like a Kid, and  YOU CAN, TOO, with 100 Mile Club!
