Logo and Trademark Usage Guidelines
This Copyright and Trademark Usage Policy will show you the proper use of “100 Mile Club®”, Inc. trademarks and logos. If you have any questions about this, please ASK us.
Trademarks
The following logos and word marks are registered trademarks owned by Kara D. Lubin and soleley licensed to the non-profit service organization, the 100 Mile Club, Inc.

Although we respect your efforts to promote fitness with your community, our federal registration of these trademarks provides us with certain proprietary rights. This includes the right to restrict the use of the trademarks, or confusingly similar trademarks, in association with confusingly similar products, incentives, activities, or services.
It is important that we exercise our right to protect our trademarks. It serves as an important and distinctive representation of the origin of our products as well as the goodwill of our organization.
State and federal law supports our position that confusingly similar trademarks or activities may cause confusion among our participants. This confusion may cause substantial harm to the trademarks by facilitating the loss of its effectiveness in establishing a distinct association between it, our products and services, and our organization’s image, ideals, and mission.
Due to these concerns, and because unauthorized use of our federally registered trademarks amount to an infringement of our trademark rights, any use of the words 100 Mile Club in association with your group and city, must be approved by the National Office of the 100 Mile Club. This includes the words 100 Mile Club on garments, products, brochures, websites, or any related literature. Any garments or other items used with the words 100 Mile Club must not be created, distributed, or used in any way unless obtained from the 100 Mile Club Organization.
Reservation of Rights
100 Mile Club®, Run Like a Kid®, and Healthy, Happy Connected Kids® are registered trademarks owned by Kara D. Lubin, and solely licensed to the nonprofit service organization, The 100 Mile Club, Inc. No person or entity may reproduce or use (or authorize the reproduction or use of) 100 Mile Club, Inc. brands or logos in any manner other than expressly authorized by the 100 Mile Club, Inc. Unauthorized use of the 100 Mile Club, Inc. brands and logos is strictly prohibited.
The 100 Mile Club, Inc. Trademarks & Registered Trademarks—Use the Correct Symbol
When referencing the 100 Mile Club, Inc. trademarks and registered trademarks, always include the proper notation after the name and logo. (® for Registered Trademarks and ™ for Trademarks) In text it is only necessary to annotate the first instance of the trademark in a given document or piece. After the first instance you may drop the ® or ™ after the word. When using logos, always include the ® in every instance.
The 100 Mile Club, Inc., may, at its sole discretion, modify the 100 Mile Club, Inc. brands and logos at any time. In order to assure compliance and quality of control, the 100 Mile Club, Inc. may request that you provide samples of any marketing, advertising, or other material that includes the 100 Mile Club, Inc. brands and logos.
Do Not Alter 100 Mile Club Brands or Logos
The 100 Mile Club, Inc. words and logos cannot be altered in any way. When using 100 Mile Club, Inc. brand, never vary the spelling, capitalization, add hyphens, make one word two, or use a possessive or plural form of the 100 Mile Club, Inc. brand. When using a 100 Mile Club, Inc. logo, never modify the design, add or delete any elements or words, change any colors or proportions.
PowerPoint & Other Presentations
The 100 Mile Club, Inc. brands and logos, should always be attributed with the proper symbol and footnoted on all presentations that are displayed to the public (sales, trade shows, school presentations, etc.).
Logo Use
The 100 Mile Club® logo is the most visible and recognizable expression of the 100 Mile Club brand. We understand and appreciate that outside parties may want to show affiliation with us. However, use of our word mark or logo to imply affiliation with or endorsement by 100 Mile Club without express written permission from the 100 Mile Club is strictly prohibited.
Before making a usage request, please be advised that The 100 Mile Club generally does not grant permission to use our logos, trademarks or slogans outside of our program relationships. Exceptions are sometimes made for media and educational uses, or events in which 100 Mile Club sponsors or participates.
Third Party Licensors
Some 100 Mile Club, Inc. products Include technology used under license from third party licensors. You may not use any such third party trademark without express permission from the owner. Remember, if it feels wrong, it probably is…so when in doubt… ASK.
