Welcome to our calendar of local Meet-ups and Community Events!
All calendar items are independent local meet-ups hosted by outside volunteers, or are organized events ran and managed by other organizations. All are open to 100 Mile Club participants and families.
Please check periodically for time/date changes and cancellations, or contact the volunteer listed as “organizer” for any questions.
Local meet-ups provide students and individuals opportunities to earn miles. These meet-ups are provided to enhance a school’s efforts to run their program.
Credit slips will be issued only for time listed for each event.
 
Weather Permitting

All events scheduled are as weather permits. Events may be cancelled up until the time of the event. Every effort will be made to advertise any cancellations or changes, including updates on the website and on social media. It is ultimately up to the attendee to verify if an event is scheduled. Hosts name and phone number are listed to also verify the activity of an event.

Credit slips will not be issued for cancelled events.

 

Want to host a meet-up?

A few simple steps will get you started.

1.       Submit your event online

2.       Attend 30 minute training (in-person and on-line options)

3.       Background check (link provided by 100 Mile Club) $24 one-time fee, host’s responsibility.

4.       If connected to a school, verify outside miles are accepted for 100 Mile Club credit.

After completing the steps above, you will be notified within 2-3 business days and your event will be posted on our website and open for kids and families to attend.

NOTE: While these listed meet ups may be counted toward a participant’s 100 Mile Club goal, it is ultimately the decision of each school to honor miles from this calendar at their site. At most events, a credit slip will be given to take back to a child’s school for mile-credit.

COME FOR THE MILES, STAY FOR THE PANCAKES!

Run with the pack and help Northwood High School athletic team raise funds for all the costs that IUSD does not fund: Uniforms, extra coaching, tournaments, equipment and so much more. Pancake, sausage, orange juice and coffee breakfast immediately after the race. Visit the 100 Mile Club table to get credit for your miles!

Race Packet Pick Up:  Friday, February 7th from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Northwood High School 4515 Portola Parkway Irvine, CA 92620 - in front of the gym.

Race Schedule:

  • 6:30 a.m. to 7: 30 a.m. warm up and check in
  • 8:00 a.m.  5K run/walk
  • 8:00 a.m. Pancake breakfast begins
  • 9:15 Awards Ceremony

Best 5K* prices are now:

  • $45 until 1/24/2020
  • $50 from 1/25/2020 to race day
  • *Youth up to 12th grade students are $10 less
