Lake Elsinore resident Cobie Chavez has visions of an Olympic future. The 15-year-old Temescal Canyon High School student recently competed in the Jr. Olympics in Detroit, placing fourth overall in the 1500m and third overall in the 3000m.
His 8-year-old brother, Casey, is following in big brother’s footsteps and also competed in the Jr. Olympics.
“It was his second time ever running at a track meet,” said Libby Chavez, Casie and Cobie’s mother. “The qualifier was his first time.”
Casey is a 100 Mile Club Kid at Luiseno School and his older brother, Cobie, coached a group of 25 kids in our annual CLUB262 Summer Challenge!
