A “Sparkling” Collaboration:

Miss World America and MILES the MEDAL Shine Bright!

We’re always thrilled to share stories that ignite inspiration and fuel the determination of our incredible 100 Milers throughout the year. But sometimes, the news is just pure, unadulterated fun – and this is one of those times! Last month, the students at Jefferson Elementary School in our own Corona, California, were treated to a truly special visit from the radiant 2024 Miss World America, Athenna Crosby!

Beyond her impressive accomplishments in the worlds of acting and modeling, Athenna shines as a passionate advocate for Autism and Disability awareness. Her dedication is evident through her support of impactful non-profits like Best Buddies and the launch of her own powerful campaign, “ADRX: My Brother Adrian’s Story.” This personal connection drives her commitment to creating a more inclusive and understanding world.

Deeply resonating with our mission of fostering happy and healthy kids, Athenna generously took time out of her schedule to connect with some amazing 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders at Jefferson Elementary! “100 Mile Club is more than just a fitness program; it’s a movement deeply rooted in purpose, empowerment, and joy,” Athenna shared. “As Miss World America, I was truly honored to spend the day celebrating alongside these students who are walking and running towards something so much greater: unwavering self-confidence, vibrant health, and meaningful connection.” During her visit, Athenna graciously shared her personal journey, thoughtfully answered the students’ insightful questions, and even laced up her own shoes to joyfully earn some 100 Mile Club laps right alongside them!

Introducing our newest team member!

Drum roll please . . .

The excitement didn’t stop there! Athenna also played a special role in an announcement we’ve been eager to share. Get ready to give a warm welcome to the newest and shiniest member of the 100 Mile Club team: MILES the MEDAL! This gleaming new mascot made his grand debut alongside Athenna and 100 Mile Club founder Kara Lubin at Jefferson Elementary, and he was all “ears” (if medals had ears!) to hear about the fantastic achievements the Jefferson 100 Milers have accomplished this year. We’re already bursting with pride for MILES’s work, and he certainly didn’t disappoint when he brought his infectious energy to Run4Kids25! Keep an eye out for MILES at future 100 Mile Club events – he’s ready to cheer you on every step of the way!

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible Athenna Crosby, the enthusiastic students at Jefferson Elementary, and our dazzling new team member, MILES! Your combined energy and spirit made for an unforgettable day, filled with 100 Mile Club pride and a powerful message of awareness and inclusion.
